The Staircase (1969)

This film (the graveyard scene, more exactly) made me write »Not Alone« on »When Sun Falls On My Feet«. It’s about two gay London hairdressers (Richard Burton), one who is bald (Rex Harrison), and their troubled relationship at a time when homosexuality weren’t so »gay« in the eyes of authorities and the mass. Wonderful, both funny and dark. Now it’s on youtube (impossible to get on dvd). Lovely.

This beautiful documentary on Dan Treacy and Television Personalities always make me soft. TVPs late albums is in it’s own category, stripped and vulnerable as few. I’m in despair hearing about Dan Treacy being in a coma, and that he’s still on life support machine. My thoughts and my heart goes out to Dan Treacy and his family and friends. I dearly hope this can still turn out well.
